Electrical wiring was stolen from the Tabaquite Booster Station, forcing the facility's immediate shutdown. The theft was discovered by WASA staff around 5 a.m. on Wednesday, June 10. The incident occurred less than 24 hours after a similar theft at the Biche Booster Station on Tuesday, June 9. The theft disrupted water supply to thousands of residents across multiple communities, causing low pressure and service interruptions to families, schools, and businesses. WASA is working with the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service to identify and apprehend those responsible; no arrests have been made.
