An El Dorado man was arrested on Thursday, June 25, 2026 after being found in possession of one Beretta pistol loaded with 14 rounds of ammunition. The arrest was made during a Task Force exercise conducted between 6 pm and 11 pm in the North Central Division, coordinated by Senior Superintendent Gift, Superintendent Jaikaran, and Assistant Superintendent Pierre. The operation included personnel from the Criminal Investigations Department Operations Unit, St. Joseph CID, Tunapuna CID, Arouca CID, Guard and Emergency Branch, and the Canine Unit.
