TrincityBritish Woman Elaine Mc Jouan (65) Shot Dead in Daylight Attack

5th Street East, Delamare Avenue, Trincity, Tunapuna - Piarco

Elaine Mc Jouan, 65, a British national of Mohammed Ville, San Juan, was shot and killed outside a Trincity home on 5th Street East, Delamare Avenue on Sunday morning, July 5, 2026 around 11 a.m. Mc Jouan was standing in the yard with her husband when a silver Nissan Tiida (registration PDJ 5209) pulled up in front of the property and a man armed with a firearm exited the vehicle and opened fire, discharging several shots in her direction before fleeing the scene. Officers from the North Central Division Task Force (Area East) responded and rushed the injured woman to the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex, where she was pronounced dead on arrival. Crime scene investigators processed the area and recovered two spent 9mm shell casings, which have been seized as evidence. Detectives attached to the Homicide Bureau, Region Two, are continuing investigations into the fatal shooting; police have not disclosed a motive and no arrests have been made.
