A late-night home invasion occurred in Pranz Gardens, Claxton Bay on Wednesday, January 21, 2026 at approximately 11:45 p.m. Three armed suspects confronted the first victim as she arrived home in a Kia Sportage, with one suspect armed with a firearm and another wielding a cutlass. The gunman forced the homeowner to unlock the residence, where they encountered a second resident whom they assaulted with multiple gun butts to the head and face, binding his hands behind his back. The intruders ransacked the home, stealing cellphones, cash, gold jewelry, vehicle keys, and alcohol before fleeing the scene. Investigators from the Couva Police Station are actively investigating the incident.
