Police Arrest Two in Early Morning Firearm Seizure (22-year-old man, 18-year-old woman)

Salazar Trace, Point Fortin, Salazar Village , Siparia

Around 3:55 am on Sunday 29th March 2026, officers from Point Fortin CID, supported by La Brea/Guapo CID, the South Western Division Task Force, Area East, and local patrol units conducted a coordinated early-morning operation at a residence on Salazar Trace, Point Fortin, acting on intelligence. A search of the bedroom revealed a black Beretta firearm, one magazine, and five rounds of 9mm ammunition. The two occupants at the home—a 22-year-old man and an 18-year-old woman—were not in possession of valid Firearms User's Licenses or Certificates. Both suspects were arrested and charged for possession of a firearm and possession of ammunition. Investigations are continuing.
