CarapichaimaAttorney, Relatives Tied Up in Home Invasion; $152K Stolen

Rajballie Street, Bank Village, Carapichaima, Couva - Tabaquite - Talparo

A 72-year-old attorney, his 50-year-old son, and an 18-year-old student were tied up during a violent home invasion on Rajbally Street, Bank Village, Carapichaima early Monday morning around 2:15 a.m. Three masked men stormed the house while the residents slept; one suspect was armed with a firearm. The intruders bound the student's hands, pointed the gun at the attorney, and demanded cash and jewelry. The bandits escaped with TT$140,000 and US$12,000 (approximately TT$152,000 total) stolen from a suitcase in one of the bedrooms. They fled in a white or grey Nissan AD Wagon or Wingroad vehicle along Rajbally Street. Police are investigating; no arrests have been made.
