A 59-year-old security officer was kidnapped and assaulted on Sincline Road in Santa Flora at approximately 5:20 a.m. on Saturday, May 2nd, 2026, after a minor road collision with a dark-coloured vehicle. Two men forced the victim into the back seat of his own black Nissan Note; one suspect drove the vehicle while the other remained with the victim and allegedly choked him until he lost consciousness. Hours later, the victim regained consciousness along Quinam Beach Road in Siparia, where his damaged vehicle was found abandoned nearby. The victim was treated at a medical facility and transferred to Point Fortin Hospital for further examination. Officers from the Siparia CID are investigating.
