Elizabeth Ettienne, a 71-year-old retired woman, was found murdered at her home in Brazil Village, Talparo on Saturday, June 14th, 2025. Officers from the San Raphael Police Station received a wireless transmission around 7:00 am about a suspected homicide at LP 270, Talparo Trace. The victim had made a distress call to a relative at approximately 6:25 am, urgently requesting him to come to her home. When the relative arrived around 6:30 am, he found a male family member—identified as an outpatient of St. Ann's Psychiatric Hospital—sitting outside the house, clad only in cream-colored boxer shorts and reportedly covered in a reddish substance resembling blood. The man allegedly confessed, stating 'I had to kill my mother.' The victim's body was discovered with her throat slit, and two knives were found at the scene, with one lodged in the victim's neck. Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the murder and the suspect's mental health status.
