A labourer identified as Williams was shot and killed in Pleasantville on Sunday evening, June 21, 2026, around 5:30 p.m. while liming in the front yard of his home. A gunman wearing a camouflage face mask and hooded jacket exited a white Toyota Aqua and opened fire; Williams fled toward the back of his house and along a track into nearby bushes, while his neighbour ran inside to safety. Williams' body was later discovered in a shallow drain in a bushy area off Cedar Drive.
