PleasantvilleLabourer Shot Dead in Targeted Pursuit

Hibiscus Drive / Cedar Drive, Pleasantville, San Fernando
Source: CNC 3

A labourer identified as Williams was shot and killed in Pleasantville on Sunday evening, June 21, 2026, around 5:30 p.m. while liming in the front yard of his home. A gunman wearing a camouflage face mask and hooded jacket exited a white Toyota Aqua and opened fire; Williams fled toward the back of his house and along a track into nearby bushes, while his neighbour ran inside to safety. The gunman pursued Williams through Hibiscus Drive and into Cedar Drive, continuing to shoot as the victim ran. Williams fell and broke his leg while attempting to escape, but the gunman caught up with him and shot him in the head before fleeing in the waiting vehicle. Williams' body was later discovered in a shallow drain in a bushy area off Cedar Drive. Officers from the Mon Repos Police Station, the Crime Scene Investigations Unit, the Homicide Bureau of Investigations Region Three, and Southern Division officers responded to the scene. Investigations are ongoing and the suspect remains at large.
