EnterprisePolice Officer Accused of Seizing Woman's Phone During Land Dispute

A police officer assigned to the Southern Division allegedly assaulted a woman and seized her mobile phone at Ruben Lane, Enterprise, Chaguanas on May 23, 2026 during a land dispute and demolition exercise. According to eyewitnesses, the officer twisted the woman's hand and forcibly took her phone before throwing it into a nearby dustbin, forcing her to retrieve it herself. The woman was video recording the demolition at the time, and the incident was captured on cell phone video by witnesses present. The officer arrived with several colleagues to allegedly take possession of the land and oversee the demolition of a house involved in the dispute.
