A retired couple in their mid-70s were robbed during a home invasion at their Sun Valley, Santa Cruz residence around 1:30 AM on Monday, June 8, 2026. Two gunmen forced their way into the home while the couple slept; the elderly man was awakened by a gunman pressing a firearm to his head. Both victims were tied up by the intruders, who then loaded a 33-inch Master Tech television and several other items into the couple's green Nissan Wingroad (license plate PCL 7678) and fled the scene. Police are investigating the home invasion and robbery; no arrests have been reported at this time.
