At approximately 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 11, 2026, officers of the South Western Division intercepted a silver Nissan Tiida in the Erin Police District after receiving intelligence that occupants were allegedly transporting illegal firearms and ammunition. During the vehicle stop, officers observed the front-seat passenger acting suspiciously and conducted a search, discovering a pink transparent package containing compressed cannabis weighing approximately 511 grams. A 28-year-old man was arrested and conveyed to Fyzabad Police Station. Investigations are ongoing; the arrest was made by Corporal Loubon, accompanied by PCs Jagessar, Daly and De Souza.
