Zion Boland, 27, of Wharton Trace, Palo Seco, was found electrocuted near a utility pole on Los Charros Road in the Oil Well #36 area on Friday, May 1st, 2026 at approximately 7 a.m. Visible burn marks were observed on his hands, and a rope was discovered attached to a 66,000-volt overhead electrical line on a nearby utility pole, indicating an attempted theft of copper wiring and electrical materials. Emergency Health Services confirmed Boland showed no signs of life at the scene. Police investigators believe he made contact with live electrical lines while attempting to steal copper materials. Relatives confirmed he was a father of one who worked independently in poultry farming.
