The dispute began when the suspect's dog scattered the victim's coffee beans, prompting an argument that escalated when the victim approached with a piece of wood and made threats. The confrontation continued upstairs before the victim returned and swung the wood at the suspect, who avoided being struck and then grabbed a cutlass, dealing a chop to the victim's hand. Family members intervened to separate the two men. Police arrested the suspect and transported the injured victim to the hospital for treatment, where he awaits surgery.
