Doubles vendor robbed of $35,000 in gold jewelry (43-year-old woman)

Corner of Chattorie Street and Cacandee Road, Felicity, Chaguanas

A 43-year-old doubles vendor was robbed at gunpoint while conducting her morning sales in Felicity on Wednesday, January 28, 2026. The incident occurred around 7:50 a.m. at the corner of Chattorie Street and Cacandee Road when two men approached her. One suspect was armed with a firearm and announced the robbery, demanding her valuables. The men made off with a gold bera valued at $25,000, a gold Spanish link chain worth $10,000, and a Samsung A36 cellphone valued at $2,500, totaling approximately $37,500 in stolen goods. Police described one suspect as approximately 6 feet tall, stocky, brown in complexion with a black goatee, wearing a black hoodie and three-quarter pants, while the second suspect was about 6 feet tall, slim, brown in complexion, and armed with a firearm. The suspects fled along Cacandee Road and remain at large.
