A 33-year-old man was shot and critically injured during a confrontation at a bar on Pond Street in La Romaine on Friday night around 9:15 PM. The suspect approached a group of friends and suddenly pulled out a firearm, directing it at one of the men present. The intended target attempted to disarm the gunman by striking his hand, which triggered a struggle between the two men. During the altercation, both men fell to the ground and two gunshots were fired. The armed suspect sustained injuries from the shooting and was bleeding at the scene; police are investigating the incident.
