937.66kg of cannabis seized at Riverside Marina

Riverside Marina, Cacandee Road, Felicity, Chaguanas

On Friday, February 20, police units acting on intelligence conducted a search at Riverside Marina, Cacandee Road, Felicity around 2 PM. Officers discovered a white Kia K2700 vehicle parked between two moored vessels with a blue tarpaulin covering the tray. The vehicle contained 937.66 kilograms of high-grade Colombian cannabis with an estimated street value of $102,942,686. One suspect, age 36, from the Freeport area, was detained by police for questioning. Police are investigating the intended destination of the shipment and identifying all players involved in the drug trafficking operation. The operation was spearheaded by ACP Anthony Remy, coordinated by Senior Superintendent Rudolph Bhagwandeen, and supervised by ASP Mark Hernandez.
