Armed men wearing reflective vests staged a brazen ambush on Thursday, February 26, 2026, just before 7:00 AM. The attackers positioned themselves in the roadway, blocking the driver's vehicle with a Nissan Tiida motor car and forcing it to stop. Within seconds of the vehicle stopping, multiple shots were fired directly at the vehicle in an apparent attempt on the driver's life. CCTV footage captured the chaotic scene as the intended victim scrambled out of the vehicle and fled on foot while gunfire erupted around him. The gunmen continued shooting before eventually retreating from the scene. It remains unclear whether the victim sustained injuries during the attack. Police are investigating the incident.
