5 masked men carry out violent Cunupia home invasion

Jonathan Trace, Blue Stone Gardens, Cunupia, Esmeralda , Chaguanas

Five masked men invaded a home on Jonathan Trace, Blue Stone Gardens in Cunupia around 1 a.m. on Monday morning. The male occupant was confronted in the yard, beaten, and forced back inside the house. The suspects then accosted the female occupant in her bedroom. One armed suspect pointed a firearm at the couple and demanded cash and valuables. The victims, fearing for their lives, complied and the suspects took $38,000 in cash, US$3,000 from a safe, and a Samsung cellular phone before fleeing.
