Man shot multiple times in drive-by shooting (Anthony Andrews, 52)

Fernando Lane, Cunupia, Esmeralda , Chaguanas

Anthony Andrews, 52, of Esmeralda Road, Cunupia, was shot and injured on Sunday evening around 8:30 p.m. while standing on Fernando Lane with a friend. A light-blue vehicle stopped nearby and a suspect exited from the rear passenger side, pointed a firearm at Andrews, and fired multiple shots at close range. Andrews sustained multiple gunshot wounds to his body. He was initially treated at the Chaguanas Health Facility and subsequently transferred to the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex for further medical care and treatment of his injuries. The suspect fled the scene in the vehicle immediately after the shooting. Authorities are actively investigating the incident to identify the shooter and determine the motive behind the attack.
