Four masked, armed men broke into a home on Cipero Road, Golconda around 3 a.m. on Tuesday morning, forcing entry through a galvanized roofing sheet wall and wooden door. The intruders bound occupants' hands with duct tape and tie straps, gagged them, and beat one adult resident before stealing gold jewelry, two televisions (42-inch LG and 50-inch Samsung), $35,000 in cash, an iPhone 12, and a Samsung cell phone. The attackers escaped in two vehicles belonging to the family: a white Nissan X-Trail (PCD 3674) and a green Toyota Hilux (TCT 4828). Police described the suspects as slim-built men wearing dark clothing and masks, 5 feet 7 to 5 feet 8 inches tall, with two armed with firearms. Police recovered several vehicles in an exercise the previous Saturday; the photo caption indicates seized vehicles were parked at Ste Madeleine station.
