Common-law husband fires shots at fleeing woman; TTPS-marked ammunition found at scene

KP Lands, Valencia, Sangre Grande

A 37-year-old woman narrowly escaped injury after her common-law husband allegedly opened fire on her during a domestic dispute. The incident occurred shortly before 2:00 a.m. when an altercation between the couple escalated into a physical assault. As the victim fled her home toward her mother's nearby residence for safety, the 41-year-old suspect reportedly fired several shots in her direction. Upon processing the scene, police officers discovered both spent and live ammunition bearing the marking "TTPS." Investigations are currently focusing on how the suspect came into possession of police-issued ammunition.
