IATF officers conducted coordinated operations across multiple locations in the North Central Division on Thursday, seizing 131 cannabis plants and three firearms (two shotguns and one rifle). Between 3:00 am and 8:00 am, officers searched a residence linked to a person of interest and discovered 56 cannabis plants in buckets on the surrounding property; one suspect was arrested and taken to St. Joseph Police Station. In a separate operation, K-9 Unit officers discovered 75 fully grown cannabis trees along with two shotguns and one rifle at a bushy track location. The Tunapuna Crime Scene Investigation Unit processed both scenes. All cannabis plants were destroyed and firearms were conveyed to Tunapuna Police Station. Investigations are ongoing.
