Joshua Timothy, 21, of Gonzales, Belmont, was shot dead on a set of steps off Serraneau Road on Sunday night around 10 PM in what police suspect may be a gang-related killing. Officers responding to reports of loud explosions found the body lying on his back with multiple gunshot wounds. Residents reported hearing a man shout moments before a barrage of gunfire erupted in the area. Crime scene investigators recovered multiple spent shells including .40 calibre, 9mm and .45 casings, indicating more than one firearm was used. A District Medical Officer pronounced the man dead at the scene; his body was removed pending post-mortem examination. Police noted the identification is based on initial information and has not yet been formally confirmed.
