Three men, including 22-year-old Khalil Malik Emmanuel Williams of Chinapoo, Morvant, were shot and killed in broad daylight on Saturday, July 18, 2026, near the Unipet Gas Station at the corner of Eastern Main Road and Morvant Old Road in Laventille. Williams' mother, La Toya Danglad, stated at the scene that her son was an ambitious young man focused on building a better future and was not involved in gang activity. Williams had recently completed the Military-Led Academic Training (MiLAT) programme, graduating with five CSEC passes, and had signed up on Thursday to join the Trinidad and Tobago Regiment. The identities of the other two victims have not been disclosed. Police are investigating the triple homicide; no arrests have been made at this time.
