Officers seized one black AK variant rifle fitted with a magazine containing 23 rounds of 7.62mm ammunition on Saturday, July 18, 2026, during an intelligence-led operation. The firearm was discovered while searching a hillside behind one of the premises on Symond Valley Road, St. Ann's. The discovery occurred during investigations into a triple homicide that had been reported earlier that morning along the Eastern Main Road in Laventille. The firearm and related vehicle were seized by Crime Scene Investigators for processing and further investigation.
