Christian Rampersad, 26, of Frederick Settlement was shot multiple times including in the head on Kay Street in Harlem, Caroni on Monday night at approximately 9 PM. A gunman emerged from nearby bushes and opened fire on Rampersad before fleeing the scene immediately. Rampersad was rushed to the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex in Mt. Hope where he underwent emergency surgery and is currently fighting for his life. Police responded to the scene and launched investigations into the shooting. Officers are exploring whether the victim was deliberately targeted in what appears to be a planned ambush, though the motive remains unclear.
