Man shot dead near Wallerfield home in late-night attack (Kendell Francis, 43)

Hundred Acre area, gravel road, Wallerfield, Cumuto, Sangre Grande

Around 11:35 pm on May 27, 2025, police responded to reports of loud explosions in the Hundred Acre area, Wallerfield, Cumuto. Officers from the Northern Division Task Force South arrived at a gravel road where they discovered a red Nissan Sylphy with the right rear door open and house lights on. Kendell Francis, 43, of LP 56 Mosai Road, Diego Martin, was found lifeless near the vehicle with apparent gunshot wounds to the head. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Homicide crime scene investigators collected evidence including 10 spent 5.56mm shells, a cellphone, $300 in cash, cigarettes, a lighter, two packets of suspected marijuana and wrapping paper. The investigation into the motive and identity of the shooter is ongoing.
