"Gorlum" slain in Barataria drive-by (Keston Guerra, 33)

Corner of 2nd Street and 3rd Avenue, Barataria, San Juan, San Juan - Laventille

On Monday, May 26, 2025, at approximately 7:30 a.m., officers from the San Juan CID responded to a shooting report at the corner of 2nd Street and 3rd Avenue in Barataria. They discovered a green Nissan Tiida (registration PDD 4450) crashed on the northern side of the roadway with the driver inside suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to his upper body. Over 20 shots were fired during the drive-by attack. The victim was identified as 33-year-old Keston Guerra, also known as "Gorlum," of 7th Avenue, Malick. He was employed with the San Juan/Laventille Regional Corporation. Despite initial signs of life, he was transported to Mt. Hope Medical Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 7:44 a.m. Police responded quickly to render aid and initiated an investigation into the drive-by shooting. The circumstances surrounding the motive remain under investigation.
