CurepeUniversity Student Robbed of $4,800 Phone at Bus Stop

Priority Bus Route near T.M.L Primary School, St Joseph bridge, St Augustine, Tunapuna - Piarco

A 20-year-old university student was robbed near T.M.L Primary School on the Priority Bus Route in Curepe on Saturday night around 8:30 p.m. A lone suspect approached the victim in a poorly lit area near the St Joseph bridge and asked if he had a gun, then forcibly took a Samsung S24 FE cellphone valued at $4,800 and a wallet containing $60 in cash from the victim's pocket. The suspect, described as a slim-built man of African descent approximately 5 feet 7 inches tall with short black hair, wearing a red t-shirt and black pants, fled the scene in an unknown direction. Police are investigating the incident.
