Monifer Carrie, 27, of Beetham Gardens, Port of Spain, was shot and killed on Malgretoute Road, Princes Town at approximately 12:05 am on Wednesday May 6th, 2026. She was a passenger in a white Nissan Sentra driven by Isaiah Cruickshank, 30 (also known as "Touchy"), when a vehicle blocked their path at Manahambre Branch Road and two armed men opened fire, unleashing multiple shots at the car before fleeing. Carrie was found lying on the roadway by a relative moments later and was rushed to Princes Town Health Facility, where she was pronounced dead at approximately 12:36 am. Cruickshank sustained multiple gunshot wounds and was transferred to San Fernando General Hospital in critical condition. Police are investigating the targeted shooting.
