Princes TownMan Targeted in Drive-By Shooting, Escapes Unhurt

Naparima-Mayaro Road, Princes Town

A man was directly targeted by a gunman outside his Princes Town home on Naparima-Mayaro Road on Tuesday, June 30, 2026 at approximately 7:30 p.m. A black vehicle pulled up and a man in dark clothing exited armed with a firearm, immediately opening fire on the victim. The victim ran to the back of his property for safety as multiple shots were discharged in his direction. The gunman returned to the waiting vehicle, which sped off east along the roadway. Despite the barrage of gunfire, the victim escaped without physical injury. Officers from the Princes Town CID and the Southern Division Area East Task Force responded to the scene. Crime Scene Investigators recovered 18 spent 9mm shells, two live 9mm rounds, one projectile, and one metal fragment.
