Princes Town12-Gauge Shotgun Recovered Under Bridge During Police Exercise

Gopaul Bypass Road, beneath concrete bridge, Princes Town

Officers from the Port of Spain Criminal Investigations Department and Task Force recovered a 12-gauge shotgun during an anti-crime exercise in the Princes Town district on Tuesday, June 2, 2026. The operation took place between 3 p.m. and 6:30 p.m., with officers conducting searches at various locations throughout the district. During the exercise, officers proceeded to Gopaul Bypass Road and searched beneath a concrete bridge. The shotgun was discovered concealed between the bridge's walls, indicating an attempt to hide the weapon from authorities.
