A Mitsubishi CK2 Lancer was carjacked from its owner at Independence Square, Port of Spain around 5:00 AM on Monday, June 1, 2026 by three men of African descent. The vehicle was forcibly taken from the owner during the early morning hours. The stolen car was recovered on Wednesday, June 3, 2026 when a 33-year-old man from Poker Ra, Longdenville was arrested driving the vehicle along 1st Street, San Juan. PC Trim of the San Juan Police Sub-Station apprehended the suspect; investigations into the carjacking and the identities of the three original perpetrators are ongoing.
