Gusto Bar on De Verteuil Street, Woodbrook was burglarized overnight, with thieves stealing two televisions, four cartons of cigarettes, a Flow router, a JBL speaker, a Samsung Galaxy phone, and $1,300 in cash from the register. An employee secured the establishment around midnight on May 31, 2026, but when another employee arrived at approximately 6:00 a.m. to reopen, signs of forced entry were evident. The front double glass and wooden doors had their latch unscrewed, and the slide bolt mechanism on the interior wrought iron gate was damaged. Police are investigating the burglary; no arrests have been made at this time.
