Man goes on rampage with cutlass, injures wife, mother-in-law and girlfriend's new boyfriend (Ricky Ramdhanie, 26; Ashley Ramnarine, 26; Sandra Bridgelal, 55)

William Trace, Welcome Road, Cunupia, Esmeralda , Chaguanas

At approximately 3:30 p.m. on June 9, 2025, Adesh Ramnarine, Ashley's estranged husband against whom a Protection Order was in place, arrived at a home in William Trace, Welcome Road, Cunupia armed with a cutlass and went on a violent rampage. The suspect inflicted multiple chop wounds on 26-year-old Ricky Ramdhanie, severing his right thumb during the attack. When 26-year-old Ashley Ramnarine and her mother, 55-year-old Sandra Bridgelal, attempted to assist Ricky, they were also attacked and chopped by the suspect. Sandra suffered injuries to her head while Ashley sustained injuries to both legs. Police launched a search for the suspect Adesh Ramnarine in connection with the violent assault. The incident occurred despite an active Protection Order against the suspect.
