13-year-old secondary school student abducted at gunpoint and sexually assaulted (Age 13)

School compound, Port of Spain; later Belmont District; Queens Park Savannah Grand Stand area, Port of Spain

A 13-year-old secondary school student was abducted at gunpoint on Friday, June 13, 2025, at approximately 6:45 PM while using the washroom near the school hall at her school's compound in Port of Spain. An unknown male suspect, believed to be armed with a firearm, forced her to walk with him at gunpoint and forced her into a dark-colored vehicle parked nearby. The suspect restrained the victim and drove her to an undisclosed location in the Belmont District, where he sexually assaulted her. After the assault, the suspect administered a white pill and water to the victim before driving her to Queens Park Savannah and abandoning her near the Grand Stand area. The victim collapsed at the location and was discovered by Emergency Health Services personnel, who transported her to Port of Spain General Hospital for medical treatment. Investigations into the incident are ongoing, and the suspect remains at large.
