Michael Prince, 63, was stabbed multiple times outside a bar on St. Vincent Street, Tunapuna on Saturday, May 9, 2026 around 10:00 p.m. during a confrontation with his girlfriend's mother. Prince had arranged a Mother's Day outing with the mother of his child without notifying the suspect, who arrived at the location and became enraged upon discovering the planned meeting. The suspect armed herself with a screwdriver and stabbed Prince multiple times about the body during the heated argument that followed. Prince collapsed at the scene and was transported to the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex, where he was treated and listed in stable condition. The 30-year-old suspect surrendered to Tunapuna Police Station on May 10, 2026, where she was arrested, medically evaluated, and placed into custody at St. Joseph Police Station pending further investigation.
