El DoradoFruit Stall Operator Robbed of $1,000 at Gunpoint

Eastern Main Road near Twinkle Star area, El Dorado, Tunapuna, Tunapuna - Piarco

A 51-year-old fruit stall operator from Cunupia was robbed at gunpoint at his fruit shed on the Eastern Main Road in the El Dorado area near Twinkle Star on May 17, 2026 at approximately 7:30 p.m. Two men entered the shed and announced a robbery; one suspect pointed a firearm at the victim and ordered him not to move while demanding money. Fearing for his life, the victim revealed where cash was kept in a drawer, and the suspects removed approximately $1,000 in cash before fleeing on foot westward along the Eastern Main Road. No injuries were reported and investigations are continuing.
