PenalTeenager & Grandfather Beaten, Robbed in Home Invasion

Mora Dam Road, Siparia

A 17-year-old boy and his 63-year-old grandfather were robbed and assaulted during a violent home invasion at their Mora Dam Road home in Penal around 3 AM on Monday, May 18. Five masked men, two armed with firearms, confronted the teenager outside the house, struck him on the head, and forced him inside after he attempted to lock the front door. Both victims were tied with electrical cords and beaten; the grandfather was struck during the ordeal. The suspects escaped with the teenager's cellphone and the grandfather's grey 15-horsepower boat engine. Officers from the South Western Division responded to the scene, and Siparia police are investigating the incident. No arrests have been made.
