Osei Packet, 39, also known as 'Danqua', was shot and killed on Taylor Avenue, Quinam Road, Siparia early Friday morning, June 19, around 1:50 AM during a birthday celebration on the roadway. A dispute between Packet and Nicholas Mark, also known as 'Bago', escalated into violence when Packet allegedly stabbed Mark, fatally injuring him. Moments after the stabbing, Packet was shot multiple times in the head and body by another party attendee and killed at the scene. Police responded to reports of a shooting around 2:10 AM and found Packet lying in a pool of blood at the front of a nearby residence; Mark was located approximately 500 feet away. Officers recovered spent ammunition casings believed to be from 9mm and 5.56 caliber weapons at the scene. Both men were declared dead at the scene; the Siparia Criminal Investigations Department is investigating the circumstances.
