Attempted MurderAssaultShooting×2

2 injured

Two shot in drive-by attack (Dequan De Coteau, 18; Dexter Duncan, 28)

La Horquette Valley Road, north of football field, Diego Martin

Two men were injured in a drive-by shooting on Monday, June 16, 2025, around 8:10 p.m. on La Horquette Valley Road in the Four Roads Police District. Dequan De Coteau, 18, of Pt. Cumana, and his cousin Dexter Duncan, 28, of Cocorite Terrace, were liming with approximately four other people at a residence just north of the football field when a black pickup van with partial license plate beginning with 'TDP' approached the group. The vehicle made a U-turn and returned to the group's location, stopping nearby. Occupants in the rear driver-side window opened fire on the gathering, striking both men. De Coteau sustained gunshot wounds to his right foot, right upper arm, and right side of his back, while Duncan was shot in his right elbow and left shin. Crime scene investigators recovered more than 30 spent shells from the scene. The investigation is ongoing as police search for the suspects and vehicle involved.
