A 62-year-old taxi driver operating a Nissan B15 for hire was robbed of over $400 in cash on Charles Avenue, Diego Martin Main Road on Sunday, May 24, 2026 at approximately 3:13 p.m. The driver had picked up a male passenger at the corner of Covigne Road who requested a short drop-off. Upon reaching Charles Avenue, the passenger opened the rear right door and grabbed the cash stored in the driver's side door before fleeing on foot. Police describe the suspect as a dark-complexioned man of African descent, approximately 5 feet 7 inches tall, wearing a grey hoodie, long blue pants, and sneakers. Investigations are ongoing; no arrests have been made.
