An 87-year-old woman was walking along Charlotte Street near Prince Street when she was approached by a man described as African descent, medium build, dark brown complexion, approximately 5 feet 4 inches tall. The suspect forcibly grabbed her left hand and removed her gold wristwatch (valued at $1,000) and gold hand band (valued at $1,500), then pushed her to the ground before fleeing in an unknown direction. The victim sustained injuries from the assault and was transported to the Port of Spain General Hospital, where she was admitted and remained warded in stable condition at the time of reporting. Police are investigating the robbery and assault. The suspect remains at large.
