Bon AccordCannabis and Drug Items Seized in Operation Steady Guard

Bon Accord area, Tobago, Tobago

Officers of the Tobago Divisional Task Force conducted Operation Steady Guard Drug Block on Saturday, May 30, 2026 between 1:30 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. in the Bon Accord area based on intelligence regarding the sale and distribution of cannabis. During surveillance, officers observed a man matching the description but the suspect fled the area, dropping a black t-shirt, cellular phone and a white plastic bag during his escape. A search of the recovered items resulted in the seizure of approximately 179 grammes of cannabis, a black and silver digital scale and a blue Apple iPhone. The location where items were recovered was approximately 60 metres from a preschool and daycare facility; further investigations are ongoing.
