A businessman withdrew $67,000 in cash from Republic Bank at Valpark Shopping Plaza, Valsayn, around 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 3, 2026, and placed the money in a brown envelope before returning to his black Toyota Corolla. Upon arriving at his Gasparillo residence around 4:30 p.m., he parked the vehicle in an open area near his home, left it unlocked with windows down, and went inside with the envelope and bank statement on the front passenger seat. Approximately ten minutes later, he returned to discover both the envelope containing the $67,000 and the bank statement were missing. CCTV footage showed a silver Toyota Aqua pull alongside the parked Corolla; a man exited the Aqua's front passenger seat, leaned through the open window, removed the envelope, and fled the scene. Police are investigating the theft; no arrests have been made.
