ArimaWilfred Madoo (37) Fatally Stabbed Outside Bar on Prince Street

Prince Street, Arima, near the Arima Magistrates' Court, Arima

Wilfred Madoo, 37, was fatally stabbed outside a bar on Prince Street, Arima, near the Arima Magistrates' Court on the afternoon of June 1, 2026. Police said Madoo was liming at the bar when he became involved in a dispute with another man that quickly turned physical. During the confrontation, Madoo sustained multiple stab wounds and reportedly ran along the roadway before collapsing a short distance away. He was rushed to the Arima Hospital where emergency treatment began, then transferred to the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex due to the severity of his injuries. Despite doctors' efforts to save his life, Madoo succumbed to his injuries later that evening. Two days later, a man presented himself to the Arima Police Station and was informed of the ongoing investigation. He was subsequently detained pending further enquiries.
