Inshan Goolsir, 54, of Abdool Lane, Curepe, was shot multiple times on May 29 around 10:30 p.m. during a confrontation with his sister's boyfriend over an alleged land dispute. Police found Goolsir lying in a drain with water spraying around him after he fell onto a water pipe while wounded and moaning in pain. Medical examination revealed three gunshot wounds to the right side of his chest, two to his upper back, and one to his right forearm. Goolsir was transported to Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex and initially listed in stable condition, but succumbed to his injuries on Saturday, June 6, after spending one week hospitalized. The suspect allegedly fled the scene in a white Toyota Aqua. Police investigations into the shooting and the circumstances surrounding the dispute are ongoing.
