Curepe32 Hispanic Women Detained in Bar During Police Raid

Hammers Bar, Southern Main Road, Curepe, Tunapuna - Piarco

Police officers from the St. Joseph and Tunapuna divisions conducted a raid on Hammers Bar on Southern Main Road, Curepe between 1:30 AM and 5:00 AM on Thursday, June 4, 2026, supervised by Corporal Dhill. During the operation, 32 Hispanic women were found at the establishment and detained pending further investigations into potential trafficking and exploitation. The raid was conducted based on intelligence regarding forced prostitution and human trafficking at the venue. Officers are investigating the circumstances surrounding the women's presence and detention at the bar; the investigation remains ongoing.
