Three masked men invaded a home on Broome Street, Curepe in the early morning hours of Wednesday, June 17th, tying up a woman and her three children while stealing cash, jewellery valued at $48,000 including a Gucci gold chain, electronics, and a silver-grey Hyundai Creta. Police said the occupants were asleep when a loud bang woke the homeowner; upon checking, she discovered the men dressed in dark clothing inside the kitchen. The woman ran to a bedroom but the intruders followed and announced a robbery, then restrained her and the children while searching the house. The bandits stole laptops, mobile phones, an iPad, cash, jewellery, and the family vehicle before escaping. Police are investigating the home invasion and vehicle theft; no arrests have been reported.
